October Newsletter

Hello Rushians!

It’s been a bit quiet on the band front this past month as we’ve been spending a lot of time concentrating on recording our demo which we are hoping to have finished by the end of October / beginning of November. We will continue to keep you posted and send out some exclusive clips to our fan club members as we get closer to release…so stay tuned!

We have a few shows coming up in October / November as well. Details are listed below / attached and encourage everyone to help get the word out!

We are looking for photographers / videographers as well to assist in taking some photos / vids at these shows, especially the Dingbatz show as there will be a live recording done as well. Any volunteers would be greatly appreciated!

We have a poll up on our blog at http://rushtribute.blogspot.com/ to vote for which entire Rush album you’d like played front to back at one our future shows. Cast your vote today!

Onwards and Upwards...

Hello fans, friends, family and the like....

It's been a while since we've sent an update through and just wanted to let everyone know where we are, what we're doing, etc.

We had an amazing show at The Crossroads in Garwood NJ which wrapped up our July schedule. It's always nice to play on a stage with a decent sound system! Thanks again to Jesse and Lee at The Crossroads and hope to be back soon!

So here we are already in August, with a few exciting things to report. First off, we're taking August off to work on our long awaited demo. We're also shooting video of all the tracking. We're in the early production stages and are getting ready to lay down the drums / bass next week.

Also on the news front, we've recently teamed up with several other tribute bands in the tri-state area to bring you 70's Tributefest . This features such tribute bands as Into The Void (Black Sabbath), Custard Pie (Led Zeppelin) and Bargain (WHO) all on one stage...coming to a venue near you!

A lot of people have been asking us when we are going to playing in their area and if you're one of them, contact your local venues and request us. We'll be happy to come out!

Upcoming Demo and Shows

Hey gang!

Just wanted to touch base with the latest band developments and happenings....

First off, we are heading to a new venue on June 19th in Mt. Vernon NY called The Bayou. I've heard from a few people that this place has great food and a terrific stage area so we're really looking forward to it. Flyer with details is posted below. Hope to see you all there!

Also, we are currently prepping for our demo recording towards the end of June and hope to have this with some really good video footage recorded sometime in early July.

Since we are really just getting off the ground, we are then going to be shopping around to booking agencies / management companies and hope to then get more shows booked throughout the tri-state area so keep checking our website / facebook pages for up to the minute news and show schedules. 

See you all on the 19th at the Bayou. We are the only band playing that night and are scheduled to start promptly at 11 pm!

New Website and Updated Shows!

Hello fellow Rush fans!

Just stopping in to let everyone know that the new website is completed at http://www.rushtributeband.com

We are returning to Dingbatz on May 29th in Clifton NJ and are really excited about this gig as we are joined by the Led Zeppelin tribute PureZep69, Vertigo and Serious 23. This is going to be a fantastic show and we have two sets of great Rush tunes to play for you!

A lot is happening on the Grace Under Pressure front and we are going to be posting more shows for the month of June shortly. We are also heading into the studio in June so it's looking to be a busy month!

We are really looking forward to seeing you down at one of our shows and don't hesitate to come over and introduce yourselves.

Also, anyone who is planning on going to the Mohegan Sun show in CT, let us know...we are trying to put together a group to party before hand! :)

Getting there...

Putting a tribute band together might not seem like a hard thing to do, but ask anyone and the majority opinion will agree that putting a RUSH tribute band together is no easy task. 

With band members coming and going, I think we are finally settled on our final band line-up with Joe Scarangella (formerly of Power Windows) joining. We are thrilled to have him aboard!

Every member in this band is a hardcore Rush fan and fully realize that we are at the early stages of developing our act. We had our first performance at the legendary Dingbatz venue on April 16th. Although we played well for our first gig, we were plagued by a late evening rain storm which significantly reduced the number of people who were going to attend. 

So looking forward....we wanted to create this blog to keep the fans (and new fans) updated of our progress in hoping to bring the premiere Rush tribute act to the tri-state area...and beyond! :)

We still have a few logistical things to iron out (demo, booking agent, etc.) but are hoping to officially hit the road sometime in June.

We've also started a poll on the right. Let us know if you'd like to hear the entire Moving Pictures or 2112 album at our next show!

Also, let us know who is going to either the PNC or Mohegan Sun shows this summer....some band members will be there and it would be cool to meet up!
